my sister-in-law who lives in another state called me up and said, "Hey. You haven't updated your knitting blog since last October. Post something!" So this post's for you, Jean!

firstly, i'm not working at the Yarn Store anymore. *sniff* i graduated from college and had to join the full time work force.

( now! onto the yarny stuff! )

so that's my update. hopefully i won't be so bad as to not update again until next year...

so much crafting... so little time...

i have SO many projects (knitting, crochet, sewing) that i want to work on. and i want to work on all of them at the same time. but i can't!

*sigh*

i need to keep myself from starting anything new until i get some of my other projects finished!

it's pretty long. like i could jump rope with it. i put a little fringe on the ends with the little bit of yarn left in the skein.

i've heard stories of people who knit with a loom type thing and i think it works something like this. but i think this is pretty neat! i'm going to Kingfisher later this afternoon/evening and maybe i'll bring along a skien of yarn and show tyler's little sis how to do it. who knows!

Hello friends of knit_ten!

i haven't updated lately but that doesn't mean i haven't been knitting. oh no! in fact i've been knitting a lot. i've been working on hats, scarves, purses, baby blankets, dish clothes, pot holders. lots of things. but i don't seem to be finishing anything!! i've started so many things but finishing them is just not on my list of things to do! i have finished several dishcloths though. i gave a couple of them to Tyler's mom for her birthday which was on the 4th of July. and i gave one with a frog design on it to one of my mom's friends. and i kept another one for myself.

blah blah blah... talking talking talking...

work is great. we've rearanged all the stuff in the store and it's looking good. this july 25th, the Yarn Harlot is coming to our store. neat huh? my boss is a funny lady and she makes me laugh.

that is all for now. maybe pictures later.

i got my first paycheck today for my job. wooooo!! and i finished one mit last night. i haven't cast on the second one yet! maybe later tonight... or tomorrow. anyway... i just wanted to post that pic of the hat.

after i finish these, i'm going to be making this. http://community.livejournal.com/weasleysweaters/43554.html in ravenclaw colours for my brother. and THEN... maybe i'll knit something for myself.

in job news, work is AWESOME!! i love my job so much! this saturday is the knit-in so i need to get a hold of avery and see if she wants to come. :)

p.s. - i made another hat using that silk garden pattern... well i tweeked it a lot actually. i'll post a picture of the resulting hat a little later.

I decided to take my knitting outdoors this evening.

My darling boyfriend's apartment has an excellent view from the patio/balcony. No one was swimming this evening (probably because it's a little chilly for that), but it was still nice to get a little fresh air while knitting.

Well, here it is. My first post on my very own knit-specific LJ. I must really be knutty for knitting!

I went to my first "knit-in" at my LYS The Gourmet Yarn Co. I had a blast and met a lot of new and interesting ladies. It was Mexican themed so the food was all sorts of Mexican dishes. Very tasty.

I started a new project while I was there. A purse that I will felt! My very first felting project. I'm using some really nice blue/black cascade 220 yarn (that I wound into center pull balls all by myself! well, Jennifer helped a lot...) Mix in some size 13 circs and hopefully in a few days we'll have a purse!

I think that's it for now. I might update with a picture of the WIP later once I get this cat off my arm! it's hard to type on my iBook when the kitty is in my lap too!
